CAMPANELLA CHILDREN'S CHOIR LEGAL DOCUMENTS
CAMPANELLA ENROLLMENT INFORMATION, PAYMENT and TUITION POLICIES
GENERAL POLICIES
Enrollment
Enrollment in the Campanella Children’s Educational Center is by semester, but special considerations will be given to new students joining at another time. Enrollment in the Treble and Concert Choirs is for the duration of the school year from late August to June.
How to register
Annual registration prior to start of classes in the fall is required for both new and existing students at https://www.campanellacenter.com/registration
Waiver and Emergency Contact information must be completed and signed by parent/guardian for each new and returning student. Required information includes your current (parent/guardian’s and student’s) mailing address, phone, and active e-mail. A non-refundable annual registration fee of $25 is included in the tuition fee.
Class Attendance, Tuition and Make-up classes
Students are expected to attend classes on a regular basis. We request that, if a student must miss a class, the parent/guardian call the school or the instructor at least 24 hours in advance. No refunds are offered for missed classes. Make-up sessions for missed classes should be arranged with the instructor and/or during the make-up week at the end of each semester. Lessons cancelled by the teacher will be made up by the teacher at a mutually agreed upon time.
Prorated tuition refunds will be given to students who must leave the choir as a result of documented health problems, as well to those students who have to move outside of Illinois. Decision to prorate tuition will be made on case-by-case basis and by special application only.
Communication
E-mail is our primary mode of communication. Please be sure to list the current e-mail addresses for both parents and students on the registration form and promptly notify us of any changes.
POLICIES SPECIFIC FOR Concert, Treble, and Prelude Choirs
Enrollment:
Enrollment in the Children’s Educational Center Campanella Concert and Treble Choir represents a significant time and financial commitment for the student and the student’s family. Once enrolled, student/parents are responsible for tuition for the full year.
Concert Choir students are required to register for 2 rehearsals per week, typically Saturday and Wednesday. Additional mandatory rehearsals will be scheduled in advance of concerts; these rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings.
Rehearsal and Concert Attendance:
Rehearsals are mandatory. To be excused from the rehearsal, contact the Choir Director as soon as possible and at least 24 hours prior to the rehearsal time. Excused absences from the Concert Choir rehearsals should be made up as soon as possible during the regularly scheduled rehearsals (for example, on Wednesday, if the student regularly attends Saturday and Sunday rehearsals). Excused absence from the Treble Choir rehearsals can be made up by appointment with the Choir Director.
Additional rehearsals will be scheduled prior to concerts. Participation in rehearsals is mandatory.
Concert schedule is partially available at the beginning of the academic year, and will be announced once finalized, as soon as possible. Notification of the Choir Director of any conflicts with scheduled concerts is required at the beginning of the academic year.
Unexcused absence from rehearsals or concerts will not be tolerated and will result in dismissal from the choir without tuition refund.
Festivals and performances requiring travel
Campanella identifies one out of town performance during each season. The Concert Choir will travel nationally or internationally to perform in joint and solo concerts. All students are encouraged and expected to participate in festivals and out of town performances.
TUITION PAYMENTS
General
Tuition for non-choral programs, Beginners and Prelude Choir is by semester, PAYABLE IN FULL PRIOR TO THE SECOND WEEK OF THE SEMESTER or upon receipt of your statement, whichever occurs later. Tuition for Prelude II, Treble and Concert Choir is by academic year, which could be made as a single payment in the beginning of the year (reflecting 5% discount), or in two installment payments at the beginning of each semester. Check or credit card payments are preferred; to avoid confusion due to lost funds, cash payments are not accepted.
Special considerations and need-based scholarships
Campanella is offering payment plans for qualified students on case-by-case basis: account must be in good standing, attendance requirements must be met, and other conditions may be imposed. Contact accounting@campanellacenter.org to request any special payment considerations.
A limited number of partial tuition scholarships is sponsored by a variety of charitable sources. Please contact accounting@campanellacenter.org to obtain a scholarship application prior to the beginning of a semester.

Campanella offers siblings discount: 10% discount for all classes on tuition for additional siblings, applied to the lesser tuition amount among the siblings.
Other Fees
Prompt payment for all classes is required no later than by the second week of the semester.
A late charge of $5 will be added if payment is not made by the due date.
The singer will not be allowed to join the rehearsal if the payment is not made by the fourth week of the semester.
A charge of $25 will be applied to all returned checks.
