Dear Concert Choir Members and Parents,
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming group outing at Camp Dan Beard in Potawatomi Woods, Northbrook, IL on the night of September 7th.
​
This will be a wonderful opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy some time outdoors together.
​
Spending the night is optional.
You are welcome to join us for just a few hours or stay overnight – the cost is the same either way. Parking is available, but we encourage carpooling to help reduce the number of cars.

Come any time you like, but keep in mind:
Ages 4-7 rehearse from 9:30 to 10:15 AM.
Ages 11-18 rehearse from 11:30 AM to 1:45 PM.
Ages 8-10 rehearse from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
Meet And Greet: Campanella Open House
We warmly invite you to meet our singers and Choir Director, explore the atmosphere, and see if it's a good fit for you.
Ask questions, join the rehearsal (or part of it) with the choir group, or simply observe from the seats — no pressure, no obligations, no stress. Enjoy the open art classes, check out the chess club, and see all that Campanella has to offer.
No special preparation or previous experience is needed, just come and enjoy the experience. All are welcome, please invite family and friends!
This event is free of charge!

New students and guests only: every child who RSVPs will be entered into a drawing for small prizes, and one grand prize of $100 off semester tuition with waived registration fee!

This exclusive celebration is dedicated to Concert Choir members. It's a wonderful opportunity for the kids to present solo or ensemble performances, and even showcase their instrumental talents if they wish. Parents are warmly invited to join in singing together.
There is no ticket cost; we'll distribute the venue and service expenses among participating families. Please consider bringing a dish to share, as we plan to conclude the night with a delightful after-concert party with more music and fun.

Missa Brevis in D

Edward Benjamin Britten, Baron Britten
(11/22/1913 – 12/04/1976) was an English composer, conductor, and pianist. He was a central figure of 20th-century British music, with a range of works including opera, other vocal music, orchestral and chamber pieces.
​
The Missa Brevis in D, Op. 63, is a setting of the Latin mass completed by Benjamin Britten on Trinity Sunday, 1959.
Set for three-part treble choir and organ, it was first performed at London's Roman Catholic Westminster Cathedral on 22 July of the same year.

Nationals Top Choirs Festival in New York

We are proud to announce that Campanella has been selected to participate in the prestigious Choirs of America 2024 Nationals Top Choirs festival in New York.
This event will take place at the Aaron Copland School of Music and Carnegie Hall in New York from April 23rd to 25th, 2024.
During this period, our choir members will be engaged in an enriching educational program, workshops, collaborative singing with other choirs, and a grand concert at Carnegie Hall.
This is a significant event for our choir members’ musical and personal development, giving our singers unique opportunities to perform in a legendary venue, and to showcase their talent on an international stage. It's a chance for them to gain invaluable experience, build confidence, and create lasting memories that will inspire their artistic journey for years to come.

The Daffodil Project
Participants: Concert choir
Campanella Children's Choir invited to perform at the worldwide Living Holocaust Memorial.
JFE will be partnering with the JCC Chicago, Holocaust Community Services CJE SeniorLife, and The Russian-Speaking Jewish Division of the JUF for the upcoming The Daffodil Project, "which aspires to build a worldwide Living Holocaust Memorial by planting 1.5 million daffodils in memory of the 1.5 million children who were murdered during the Holocaust and in support for children suffering in humanitarian crises around the world."

This meaningful intergenerational event brings families together to hear from holocaust survivors, see the beautiful Daffodil Memorial Garden in bloom, and enjoy some entertainment, crafts and refreshments.
Freedom, Redemption, and Praise: Songs of Interfaith Expressions

The joint concert with Kol Zimrah will feature Ben Steinberg’s “Crown of Torah” in recognition of Letter by Letter: The NSCI Torah Project.
Campanella will present solo, ensemble, and choir pieces in the concert. This event is a music statement of unity and solidarity between different communities.
