Choral Programs

Our flagship Choir program consists of four levels, educating children ages 3 to 18. Students learn and perform a wide repertoire in English, French, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, African languages, American folk songs, and more.

Singers gradually grow personally and artistically, from performing in front of families, to participating in local events, and eventually representing Illinois in local and international festivals.

Community Engagement and Special Projects

In the coming year, we envision Campanella expanding its reach and impact through enhanced programming and deeper community engagement. Our goal is to continue our mission to help children from various backgrounds prepare socially and emotionally for a bright future as educated, conscious members of the society. Music is our most powerful tool in achieving this goal. We will continue to include in our repertoire folk songs in native languages of our members, so the entire choir can learn the literal meaning and emotional canvas of folk music of different cultures.

Using experiences gained in past projects, we have planned a number of multi-disciplinary projects, open to the general audience and our members:

  • Healing Harmony - Restoring Broken Glass: a winter break workshop taught in English, Ukrainian, and Russian by a renowned Ukrainian born glass artist. Participants will engage in hands-on stained glass workshop, the pieces they create will be exhibited at Campanella winter concert themed on restoring brokenness by art and music.

  • Community Outreach: an interactive presentation of a musical program for small children, to be presented by Campanella members in day care and educational centers.

  • Children’s Choral festival: With assistance of Illinois Association of Choir Directors, we plan to organize and host a multi-choral festival in April 2025.
