CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL CENTER CAMPANELLA:
PROGRAMS AT ST. GILES CHURCH, NORTHBROOK, IL
YOUNG CHOIR PROGRAMS
IN THE YOUNGEST GROUPS,
Beginners and Prelude, children learn to appreciate music, listen to their own voice and to the choir, sing in tune (matching pitch), and develop articulation, focusing on the major vowels and consonants.
They are guided on proper breathing while singing and play with simple percussion instruments to develop a sense of rhythm and rhythmic coordination through fun and dynamic age appropriate activities.
TOP CHOIR PROGRAMS
HARMONY CHOIR
Together we explore the joy of musical expression and the self-esteem that grows from skillful choral singing. Singers work on establishing healthy singing and breathing habits, singing with good intonation, and learning to read musical notation. Students learn to sing in unison and in two parts, enhance articulation, focusing on the major vowels and consonants, learn to manage breathing when singing and control the evenness of sound.
CONCERT CHOIR
is an award-winning ensemble, trained to perform at a professional level. Choristers achieve excellence in musicianship, develop personal character, and gain leadership skills.
Singers perfect their ability to produce a musical phrase, emphasizing vowel production and blend, learn to control and nuance tone quality, and perfect the ability to control breathing when singing complex repertoire.
ADULT CAMPANELLA PROGRAM
CHAMBER CHOIR
The Campanella Chamber Choir caters to adults, including Campanella alumni and enthusiasts of singing. Upon joining, you'll encounter a rich and varied repertoire, engaging group activities, and individualized guidance aimed at expanding your vocal skills and refining singing techniques.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
IN ADDITION TO YOUTH CHORAL SINGING,
Campanella extends its cultural mission by providing additional enrichment programs for both choristers and the general public. Art, Drawing, Painting, and Russian Language Enrichment form integral parts of our cultural endeavors. These classes serve as valuable supplements to the choir program, presenting children with enhanced opportunities to expand their cultural and artistic horizons.
