Account Manager / Bookkeeper
Job description
Campanella Children's Choir and Educational Center is seeking an experienced accountant or bookkeeper to help manage our financial records and processes. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusivity and preserving cultural traditions, particularly through our children’s choir and educational programs.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and oversee QuickBooks records

Process and send invoices for services, tuition, and events
-
Manage incoming funds from grants, donations, concert tickets, and tuition payments
-
Prepare and file annual tax forms and ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations
-
Assist with grant management, including tracking expenditures and reporting
-
Provide financial reports and ensure financial accuracy and transparency
Qualifications:
-
Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper (experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus)

Proficiency in QuickBooks
-
Strong organizational and communication skills
-
Experience managing various income streams, including grants and donations
-
Ability to prepare and file tax forms
-
Comfortable working independently and remotely
-
Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus
Preferred Candidates:

Retired accountants/bookkeepers with QuickBooks experience are welcome to apply!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

Help identify potential grant opportunities

Assist in gathering documentation and preparing application materials

Track deadlines and submission dates for ongoing grant applications

Work closely with our grant writer and leadership team

Assist in training and onboarding new volunteers

Communicate with volunteers to ensure shifts are covered
