Account Manager / Bookkeeper

Job description

Campanella Children's Choir and Educational Center is seeking an experienced accountant or bookkeeper to help manage our financial records and processes. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusivity and preserving cultural traditions, particularly through our children’s choir and educational programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and oversee QuickBooks records

  • Process and send invoices for services, tuition, and events

  • Manage incoming funds from grants, donations, concert tickets, and tuition payments

  • Prepare and file annual tax forms and ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations

  • Assist with grant management, including tracking expenditures and reporting

  • Provide financial reports and ensure financial accuracy and transparency

 

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper (experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus)

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Experience managing various income streams, including grants and donations

  • Ability to prepare and file tax forms

  • Comfortable working independently and remotely

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus

 

Preferred Candidates:
  • Retired accountants/bookkeepers with QuickBooks experience are welcome to apply!

 

Job Type: Part-time

 

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 4 per week

Campanella Educational Center is a vibrant nonprofit organization committed to fostering inclusivity and preserving cultural traditions through music, education, and community programs. We are seeking passionate volunteers to support our mission in a variety of roles. Whether you’re a high school or college student, a parent, or someone looking to give back to the community, we have an opportunity for you!

Volunteer Positions Available:

  1. Administrative Assistant

    • Help with day-to-day operations of the center

    • Assist in organizing schedules, meetings, and events

    • Manage email communication and respond to inquiries

    • Maintain records and filing systems
       

  2. Event Coordinator Assistant

    • Support the planning and execution of concerts, fundraisers, and community events

    • Coordinate with vendors and performers

    • Help with event setup, registration, and guest management

    • Promote events through social media and local outreach
       

  3. Social Media Volunteer

    • Create engaging posts and content for Campanella’s social media platforms

    • Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages

    • Assist in growing our online community and raising awareness about our programs

    • Capture and share moments from events and classes
       

  4. Grant Research Assistant

    • Help identify potential grant opportunities

    • Assist in gathering documentation and preparing application materials

    • Track deadlines and submission dates for ongoing grant applications

    • Work closely with our grant writer and leadership team
       

  5. Volunteer Coordinator Assistant

    • Help manage volunteer applications and schedules

    • Assist in training and onboarding new volunteers

    • Communicate with volunteers to ensure shifts are covered

    • Help organize appreciation events for volunteers
       

  6. Choir Support Volunteer

    • Assist choir directors during rehearsals and performances

    • Help set up and break down rehearsal spaces and performance venues

    • Support children and parents during concerts and events

    • Distribute and organize music sheets and materials
       

  7. Fundraising Volunteer

    • Help develop and execute fundraising campaigns

    • Assist in organizing donation drives and fundraisers

    • Reach out to potential donors and sponsors

    • Manage donor relations and appreciation efforts
