Campanella Concert Choir is ecstatic to announce that we have made it to the finals for The American Prize in Choral Performance, a national competition that celebrates excellence in the performing arts across the United States.
During September, we submitted recordings to The American Prize, an organization that hosts non-profit competitions in the performing arts. Being selected as finalists for the Youth Choir Division is an incredible honor.
This recognition is especially meaningful as we celebrate Campanella’s 25th anniversary this year!
Campanella has worked so hard over the past year for this title, and with the arrival of a whole new voice part, the basses, we were able to achieve something we would have never been able to reach before.
Mia Shepel, First Soprano, states that, “...it’s a huge honor, and it gives us great motivation to do well in Canada”, where we will partake in the Kathaumixw Choral Festival over the summer.
We are incredibly happy to be nominated for this award, and are ready to look forward to the future.
